Using Our Services
There are four routes into our services.
(1) People contact us direct by phone, fax or email to arrange appointments. Usually these clients pay for the service themselves or they are paid for by their private health insurance. The advantages to the client include personal service, avoidance of NHS waiting lists, therapy provided by fully qualified and experienced chartered psychologists, and confidentiality in accordance with the British Psychological Society Code of Ethics.
(2) People may be referred by their G.P, health visitor or hospital doctor. We are not part of the National Health Service and these clients also pay for the service themselves or they are paid for by their private health insurance or sometimes by their employer. They benefit from the same advantages as 1.
(3) People referred by Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP). The EAP is the immediate customer but the ultimate customer is the employer, although the work is undertaken with their employee. Typically the service is paid for by the employer via the EAP and there is a reduced level of confidentiality in the sense that the employer may require one or more reports.
(4) People referred by solicitors and insurance companies for therapy funded by compensation for their personal injury. Typically the service is paid for by an insurance company via the immediate clent's solicitor. There is a reduced level of confidentiality in the sense that the insurance company, both party's legal teams and the relevant Court may require one or more reports about the client from the psychologist.
